One day, a 16-year-old girl named Kagome Higurashi was going off to school when her cat got lost. Her family had a huge well
on the property called the Bone Eater's Well (Oooohhhh... creepy name... o.o) to find her cat. She went down there and found
out that the cat was up with her little brother. Suddenly she was drawn down by a mysterious demon. Later on, she met up with
a Hanyou* who beat the demon. He beat the demon, but not before the demon pulled the Shikon Jewel** out of Kagome. The Shikon
Jewel was a mythical jewel that had been sealed away into a dying priestess 50 years ago. Inuyasha then tried to steal the
jewel, but then the priestess's (Kikyo was the priestess's name) sister Kaede put a mythical necklace around Inuyasha's neck
so that whenever Kagome yelled out "Sit!" Inuyasha would fall on his neck. Soon enough trouble occurred in the form
of a crow swallowing the jewel. In order to retrieve it, Kagome shoots an arrow at the crow and the shard shatters into many,
many pieces. (ooh... o.o;;) They travel and meet new friends, all aiding one another in fighting their common enemy - Naraku
- and getting all of the shards of the Shikon Jewel back together. An awesome anime I would definitely rate 10+, not counting
my 6-year-old brother. ;)
